Biography: Meet the Teacher
Hello! My name is Jennifer Forbes. I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. I moved to Salina, Kansas, when I was 13, and then moved to North Carolina when I was in my twenties, where I began my teaching career. A few years later, my husband and I had our son and daughter, Ethan and Piper. We lived in a huge city in North Carolina, and while the excitement of a metropolitan area was fun, we decided we wanted to raise our kids back in Kansas. The four of us moved to Pawnee County in 2013, and it was the best move we have ever made. We absolutely love the small-town atmosphere here in Larned, and are thrilled to be able to raise our kids in our home state!
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, gardening, and deer-watching - what a fun thing to do when the sun is going down!
I have been teaching for nine years, with eight of those years as a kindergarten teacher. I am delighted to have found Hillside Elementary. I love teaching here, and am proud to call myself a Larned Indian!
